Geologist by training, earth scientist at heart.
My name is Breanna. I'm a geology major and environmental studies minor at Lawrence University. I have a passion to learn about the world around me. It started when I grew up on the Navajo Reservation and noticed the beautiful mesas, cliffs, and valleys near my grandma's house. Then I moved to Salt Lake City and had the Wasatch mountains as my backyard. I always wondered how they formed and why others don't wonder like me. I came to Lawrence with the intention to create my own major in Hydrology but changed my mind to do Environmental Studies, but then I took an Intro Geo class and fell in love with the content. I decided after the first day of class that Geology is what I wanted to do. I have pushed myself forward because I love what I learn and it's interesting to me.
